Two-day conference jointly organized by KMOMA and Netaji Research Bureau (NRB)

KMOMA and Netaji Research Bureau (NRB) jointly organized a two-day conference on A Different Universalism: the Global Vision of Rabindranath Tagore and his Contemporaries on 20 and 21 December, 2010, at Netaji Bhawan, Kolkata. It was attended by such luminaries as Noble Laureate Prof. Amartya Sen, Prof.Sugata Bose (Gardner Professor, Harvard University), George Yeo(Foreign Minister of Singapore), K. Kesavapany (Director, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore), Prof. Wang Gungwu (Singapore), Prof. Kyoko Niwa (Tokyo Foreign Studies University), Dr. Tansen Sen (CUNY and Director, Nalanda-Sriwijaya Center, ISEAS, Singapore), Rakhi Sarkar (Managing Trustee, KMOMA), Prof. Partha Mitter (Professor Emeritus, Sussex University), Prof. R. Siva Kumar (Professor, Visva-Bharati University), Dr. Saranindranath Tagore ( Associate Professor of Philosophy, National University of Singapore), Prof. Diana Sorensen (Dean of Humanities and the Arts, Harvard University) and others.
